The VCCP Partnership is an integrated communications agency set up in 2002 by Charles (V), Rooney (C), Adrian (C) and Ian (P), who founded the agency on the principles of simplicity, collaboration, un-preciousness and integration around ideas rather than channels.

Since then, the agency has grown to have offices all over the world. In the US we are made up of two locations, New York and San Francisco, with clients based all around the country.

The Role of Account Management at VCCP

As the face of the agency to our clients, and the central organizing hub within the agency, account management needs to lead all those around them to do outstanding, high-impact work.

Account management is the liaison between the agency and our clients, responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on brief, on time, and on budget. They are the champion of the agency and the work, a trusted partner to our clients, and the go-to person at the agency for any information needed about an account or project.

It is ultimately the responsibility and objective of account management to grow the client business and be a pillar of leadership in the agency. 

Account Director Primary Job Responsibility

Serve as the most senior account resource both internally and to senior-level clients. Beyond managing the usual day-to-day with the account group, the account director should also be a champion of the agency and be confident enough to have the tough conversations. They have a true handle on financials and constantly look for opportunities to expand the agency relationship with clients, and are able to think strategically as well as manage. They should be flexible to work within west coast (PT) hours as needed by our client partners, as well as ET for occasional agency needs. 

Required Duties/Skills/Abilities

  • Work with Clients to advance their business needs and develop long-range communications and marketing plans. Fosters Agency involvement in these plans. 
  • Seek out opportunities for organic growth within existing client relationships by expanding agency scope. 
  • Responsible for the financial profitability and growth of the accounts they lead. 
  • Ultimately responsible for accurate revenue forecasting, and timely client billing and payments. 
  • Advise senior agency management on the status of the business, client relationships and specific opportunities or challenges.
  • Be confident and comfortable running respective accounts autonomously with support from the team.

Leadership

  • Manage the account’s growth, profitability, and the value-add relationship with the clients. 
  • Provide unflappable and inspired leadership.
  • Ensure resources and opportunities are available for the account team to gain needed skills and abilities. 
  • Mentor and provide continuous guidance to account team members and help grow/develop talent.
  • Ensure the team enjoys high morale (across departments), is appropriately rewarded, and consistently delivers superior work.
  • Ensure that the Agency is associated with outstanding creative work that is both strategic and breakthrough.
  • Drive client onboarding process seamlessly and serve as a knowledgeable, steady hand from the onset of a relationship

Finance Role

  • Build staffing plans, SOWs, and proposals. Includes scheduling kick-off meetings with department heads, and wrangling internal reviews of materials prior to client distribution.
  • Stay on top of overall account profitability and work closely with senior management and CFO to rectify any issues that may arise. 

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 8 years’ experience in an account management role, preferably at creative agency
  • Gaming/Entertainment or Retail/CPG client experience, preferably with 360 campaigns and social specific work 
  • Well-versed in integrated production of all scales, budgets, and levels of complexity
  • Proven ability to run a profitable account
  • Clear communication and strong listening skills
  • Instinctively proactive and solutions-oriented
  • Has a “can-do” attitude
  • Experience with new business a plus
  • Proficiency in a Mac environment, and with Google Analytics, Drive, Sheets, Slides, Docs, Calendar, Gmail

The salary range VCCP US believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting is $110,00 - $160,00 per year. Individual compensation is based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, specialty, level of responsibility, internal equity, budget, tenure, performance, and business or organizational needs. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. If your requirements fall outside of this range, you are still welcome to apply.
