About the Lead Product Manager, Credit role

We’re looking for a seasoned product leader with the skill to converge customer and business needs through deep UX thinking and experimentation along with strong financial management. This person will be the end to end owner of Varo’s credit card product - responsible for driving growth, engagement, and financial performance. This role will be responsible for initiatives end to end, from performing customer and market research, to designing the product, to developing and implementing the products, and measuring the results and identifying opportunities to iterate.

What you'll be doing

• Drive the product strategy and execution for Varo’s credit card product
• Understand our customers’ mental models to continuously provide them with value
• Dive deep into analytical insights to identify signals and opportunities
• Define your objectives and drive KPIs through a combination of experimentation and large feature development
• Explore and communicate the next big bets for Varo and credit that will lead to growth in 2 years
• Influence internal stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, Operations, and the Executive Team to deliver on your objectives
• Partner with multiple product teams at Varo to collectively build a single, unified Varo experience
• Mentor junior PMs and raise the bar for Product Management at Varo.

• 6 years of experience in large scale consumer Product Management
• Familiarity with UX paradigms and best practices
• A measurement mindset - you know when to launch with holdouts, A/B tests, or multi-arm bandits
• A bias towards action - You’ll find a way to get the data you need to help inform your decision making
• Ability to distill complex information into clear and succinct strategy documents and actional PRDs to ‘sell’ your vision
• Technically proficiency to collaborate with engineers to develop technical architecture of products you’ll be building
• Nice-to-have: Experience in building and growing a transactional card product
