University of Kansas is Hiring a Research Assistant - Student Hourly Near Lawrence, KS
Position Overview
The EcoFluids Research Group, led by Dr. Amy Hansen, is seeking an undergraduate research assistant to help with collection and chemical analysis of water samples from nearby wetlands and streams and general laboratory-based tasks. The student will be trained on the job and work closely with other members of the research group. This position starts immediately.
Job Description
25% Sample preparation and analysis 50% Laboratory routine tasks 25% Assisting with field or lab experiments
Required Qualifications
Prior chemistry lab experience (class based or otherwise)
Related coursework (engineering, ecology, geology, biology, etc)
The following is used on all student postings: **During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
