University of Kansas is Hiring an Undergraduate Research Assistant-Student Hourly Near Lawrence, KS
Job Description
Data management (40%)
Data collection
Data entry
Data preparation and cleaning
Data analysis
Dissemination support (20%)
Assisting with literature review activities
Assisting in writing, proofreading, compiling, and printing project materials
Administrative support (40%)
Clerical tasks and other general office duties as assigned
Assisting with mailing materials for research project to participants and staff
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
6 months experience in a position that required attention to detail and strong organizational skills as evidenced by application materials.
6 months experience demonstrating the ability to work both independently and as part of a team as evidenced in application materials.
At least 1 year of experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office as evidenced in application materials.
Excellent writing skills as evidenced in application materials.
Undergraduate student at KU enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester.
Availability to work mostly during the regular business day, with some evenings and weekends possible.
Availability to work onsite at the KU Lawrence Campus.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Position may require travel to and from worksite at Twente Hall on the KU Lawrence Campus.
Preferred Qualifications
Academic background in human service related field, such as social work, psychology, sociology, etc.
Knowledge of or strong desire and commitment to learn about the child welfare and prevention fields
Commitment to racial equity and social justice as demonstrated by experience, educational goals, or cover letter
Experience in research (e.g., coursework, literature reviews, data entry)
Reads and understands Spanish
Knowledge of KU and/or experience with KU offices (e.g., orientation of students, first year experience)
