GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Accounts Payable Clerk will be a key contributor to our Accounts Payable department by processing vendor invoices for timely payment and performing other departmental duties as necessary.

REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices in ERP system for multiple locations.
• Process check requests and expense reports for UD/AGA employees.
• Upload and pay patient refunds and research stipends.
• Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.
• Scan invoices into document management software (ImageNow) to ensure proper approvals.
• Retrieve and sort mail from mail room, file invoice copies and payment backup.
• Address vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with any audit requests for AP support.
• Perform ad hoc projects as requested.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree in Accounting preferred; 2 years’ experience as Accounts Payable Clerk; Knowledge of basic accounting principles; Great Plains software experience strongly preferred

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Requires travel within the state of Georgia.
