Twin Ports Dermatology is Hiring a Human Resource Manager Near Duluth, MN

Human Resource Manager

Twin Ports Dermatology is looking for a Human Resource (HR) Manager. Having a highly skilled and experienced HR Manager on our team is a key component to driving HR initiatives forward and overall company success. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources operations within the company. You will work closely with the Business Manager/Owner to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and promote employee engagement and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Complete bi-weekly payroll for a staff of hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including COBRA notifications, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Make compensation recommendations, prepare offer letters, prepare employee wage notifications and manage overall compensation strategy.
  • Manage the company safety program with support of department managers. Complete required OSHA reporting and organize annual safety training.
  • Manage full employee life cycle from the recruitment and selection processes to the exit interview.
  • Create and maintain job descriptions and job postings.
  • Partner with department managers to source candidates, conduct interviews, and onboard new hires.
  • Oversee performance management including performance evaluations and merit increase recommendations.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Lead training and development initiatives to enhance manager and employee skills and competencies.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports for management as needed.
  • Process all employee verifications, unemployment claims and workers’ comp surveys.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR management and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 5 years of work experience in Human Resources, preferably having progression in leadership responsibilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations, with a strong understanding of HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, performance management, employee relations, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to, and comfortable with adapt and change in a dynamic organization.
  • High level of professionalism and sensitivity to handling confidential information.
  • Available full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicle.
