We supply steel for bridges, stadiums, barges and large buildings but one thing will always remain the same: We treat our customers and employees like family.

Responsibilities

• Supports import operations, including shipment logistics, documentation, and customer service. 
• Prepares, distributes or processes documentation to ensure required documents are in place and correct. Identifies and records any discrepancies.
• Coordinates and communicates with customers, agents, vendors, and shippers to maintain process flows and resolve issues.
• Performs data entry of shipping and cargo details into systems following required procedures.
• Tracks status of import paperwork
• Monitors vessel arrival
• Tracks material from purchase to receipt
• Monitors payments to vendors
• Vessel reconciliations
• Coordinates railcar shipments from docks
• Advises vessel movement to branches
• Records and approves vessel related freight and handling invoices.
• Inventory adjustments
• Freight payable corrections
• 10-20% travel required for physical inventories
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• 5-7 years of related experience
• High school diploma/GED required

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

• Bilingual strongly preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Able to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed
• Highly detail-oriented
• Previous experience with inventory is a plus
