Primary Duties and Responsibilities

·Support and advise the activities of Warehouse Managers at multiple facilities with regards to shipping products or materials at each distribution center

·Coordinate the inbound and outbound operations such as transportation, shipment/freight invoices, and logistics coordination to include reconsignments and customer material retrieval

·Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers; including, but not limited to reviewing invoices for reasonableness and financial coverage of cost.

·Review freight invoices for accuracy and dispute any discrepancies

·Review freight damages, compile evidence, and submit dispute claims to affected carriers and communicate with affected internal parties

·Provide freight quotes for sales order requests and maintain log of quoted prices

·Additional duties/projects as required or assigned

Education and Experience Profile

·High School Diploma or GED is required

·Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

·3 years work-related experience or equivalent

Required / Preferred Skills

·3 years’ experience in a logistics or finance support role, preferably in a warehouse/manufacturing or distribution center environment

·Knowledgeable of freight rates, negotiation, etc.

·Strong communication and organization skills are required

·Must be able to prioritize work depending on work load and business needs

·Must possess a basic understanding of logistics process and methodologies

·Project management and negotiation skills are preferred

·Experience in a warehouse setting with knowledge of operational transactions preferred

·Familiarity with ERP software such as MSO, MAS 200, SAP or other similar systems
