LHH is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for a direct hire position in Houston, TX.

Position: Logistics Coordinator

Type: Direct Hire

Location: HYBRID, Houston, TX (3 days in office, 2 remote days after 90-day training period.)

Pay Range: $55,000 - $62,500 annually bonus DOE

Work Schedule: M-F, 9 AM-5 PM (OT necessary)

Degree is not required!

3-5 years of previous vessel and/or railcar operations

MUST have Marine Logistics priority [barges & vessel] then railcar

Need Excel and SAP

Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft applications

Basic knowledge of commodity chemical industry, distribution, commodity logistics.

Basic knowledge of GBS/SAP.

Familiarity with petrochemical products, trading, distribution, logistics for commodities

Ability to execute input, file documents, and report the status timely and accurately

Effective communication skills to interact with counterparts internally and externally.

The Logistics Coordinator coordinates logistics under the supervision of product managers.

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Implementing delivery procedures, including nominating vessels or railcars, checking document instructions, updating schedules, processing documentation, arranging surveyors and freight forwarders, and inputting B/L data into Excel sheets.

• Supporting Product Managers and Sales Support in preparing required documents and Excel sheets for closing.

• Creating accurate and timely input while adhering to Mitsubishis guidelines.

Logistics Documentation

• Communicate with internal/external entities related to logistics operations such as suppliers, customers, vessel owners, railcar companies, surveyors, freight forwarders, internal related dept. etc. to execute smooth logistics operations.

• Check and confirm vessel nominations or railcar nominations with customers.

• Check and confirm the document instructions with customers.

• Communicate with suppliers, customers, and vessel owners to obtain and update vessel schedules.

• Check and confirm the B/L, Survey Report, Certificate of Origin etc. which are related to cargo loading and endorse the original B/Ls if required.

• Arrange the surveyor and freight forwarder to proceed the discharge in good order.

• Follow up and report tax related documents (such as Superfund Tax) correctly.

Closing / Internal Support

• Check the shipments to input and confirm with Product Manager.

• Prepare or gather documents required for input.

• Create P/L sheets for input and confirm with Product Manager.

• Respond to internal requests as appropriate for audits, credit applications, registration, and others.

Input, Documentation, and Sales Support

• Create input accurately and in a timely manner to limit errors while following Mitsubishis guidelines and complex instructions.

• Works with both Controlling and Accounting departments to ensure all procedures for input are followed.

• Organize and maintain documentation in a shared folder so that others in the department can access the status of each item. This includes but is not limited to tracking freight payments, specific taxes, customs invoices, disbursements, and payables.

• Track and follow up on documentation topics within 24 hours to avoid delayed responses both internally and externally.

• Perform any additional work to support Product Managers as required.

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $62,500.00 per hour
