Tricon Precast is Hiring an Estimator Near Houston, TX
Primary duties include:
- Review project plans and specifications to identify Tricon items/systems to bid.
- Interface with engineering group to request quantity take-offs and bidding parameters.
- Create and assemble project budgets and parameters for team review.
- Prepare project proposals for bidding. (via bid letting or salesperson delivery)
- Manage the project bid letting (early quotes, day of letting quotes, last minute revisions, etc.)
- Post bid follow-up to determine apparent low bidder.
- Hand-off to field sales team.
Successful candidate will:
- Have experience in estimating for precast manufacturer, highway construction or general concrete construction.
- Have complete knowledge and understanding of project plans (architectural and structural drawings) and specifications.
- Be familiar with the bidding process in both conventional and design build project delivery methods.
- Be proficient in using Excel and Word.
- Be detail oriented and possess good organizational skills
- Interface well with customers, licensees, engineers and all internal departments
- Report to V.P. – Business Development
