Overview:

We are looking for a confident, versatile, and experienced Operations Director to join our award-winning agency. This is an exciting opportunity for you to improve operational effectiveness includingresource planning, setting, and measuring objectives and enabling teams while providing day to dayleadership and direction across all operational areas. This includes hiring, training, new clientonboarding, performance evaluation input, project management assignments for new business, andproblem solving on behalf of the operations group. Additionally, you will be a key player in thedevelopment and execution of new initiatives that impact processes and the operations team in the USregion.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to balance multiple personalities, extremely quick deadlines,extensive client demands with an attention to detail and an eye for quality. The role sets the standardsfor the Project Management team to manage workflow and deliver all our client deliverables on time,on budget with flawless execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the agency PMO function, direct line management of Project Managers, and Resource Manager.
  • Participate in the interview process and select the best fitting candidates for open positions. Onboard, train and mentor new Project Managers.
  • Ensure that all necessary processes and procedures for the conduct of projects are intact and operating in a mode of continuous improvement.
  • Accountability for operational metrics, such as utilization targets, burn reports, job reconciliations, eliminating write offs and maximizing job profitability.
  • Assigning projects to designated project managers and ensuring proper workload balances
  • Setting objectives, monitoring performance, and establishing training and development plans for Project Management Team
  • Proactively identifying areas for where process creation or optimization is required and successfully implement improvements.
  • Refining and building operational process/infrastructure to ensure seamless collaboration between our departments/disciplines and other regions.
  • Plans, schedules and controls project activities toward defined scope and objectives, applying strategic thinking, technical and project management skills to satisfy project requirements.
  • Develops project plans including budgets, time and resource allocation and timelines.
  • Works with internal multi-functional teams (client services, strategy, production, creative and media) to manage the project team by ensuring stakeholder involvement, encouraging interaction and defining and delegating responsibilities.
  • Works alongside the client service teams and acts as an additional point of contact with clients of assigned accounts/projects; facilitates proactive communication and issue resolution as it pertains to assigned projects.
  • Liaise with counterparts in other geos to help drive global efficiencies and consistency in operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field.
  • At least 8 years digital or marketing experience working in an agency environment
  • At least 2 years experience people management, with an ability to inspire and motivate
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft 365 applications including: TEAMS, Word, Excel, and Outlook

The ideal candidate will:

  • Drive and pro-activeness. Ability to do what is needed to “just get stuff done” overcoming any obstacles.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge and understanding of Agency operations and diverse functions within an integrated agency.
  • Extensive experience using project management software.
  • PMP Certification a plus.
