Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Office Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This is a key leadership role that requires strong financial management skills and the ability to provide strategic guidance to the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that financial functions are reconciled monthly.
- Maintaining/hiring competent office staff.
- Delegate as necessary to ensure all accounting functions are accurately accounted for.
- Assist with the cross training and ongoing development of office staff to ensure understanding and compliance with the accounting DMS, accounting policies, controls, reporting timelines and procedures.
- Review and monitor dealership compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and controls, to ensure consistency.
- Prepare financial statements and submit them to General Motors in a timely manner.
- Calculate month-end commissions.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure all accounts are accurately represented to third parties as necessary.
- Provide clear and detailed reports for any and all audits.
- Reinforce company policy.
- Complete monthly sales tax return.
- Renew all applicable business licenses.
- Enter all General Motors open account transactions into the DMS system, advertising credits, floorplan charges, fuel credits, etc.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum 3 years automotive accounting experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Competency in managing office operations and overseeing administrative staff.
