Tiello has partnered with a highly reputable Concrete General Contractor, on their search for a Concrete Estimator to focus on Ground up and new construction projects in Greater Houston, TX.

Job Title: Estimator - Concrete (3 years)

Project Types: Commercial, Educational, Mixed-Use, Ground-up, Concrete, Self-Perform

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all responsibilities of an Estimator including but not limited to the following:
• Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing
• Propose value engineering options to reduce project cost
• Coordinate subcontract solicitations and job walks
• Determine costs of labor, material, and equipment
• Push the evolution of the construction documents as necessary
• Experience with different styles of delivery methods
• Prepare conceptual estimates
• Meet and maintain bidding and work schedules
• Submit requisitions for purchase of materials
• Compare competitive trade bids

Skills & Qualifications:

• BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred.
• 3 years Estimating projects for reputable General Contractors/Subcontractors.
• Commercial, Educational, Mixed-Use, Ground-up, Concrete, Self-Perform
• Experience with Concrete is a huge plus.
