The Role

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will join a team responsible for part of the accounting processes of two Hyatt Hotels within a multi-use building. Primary responsibilities of this position will be accounts payable, support of the purchasing/receiving functions and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned. They will work in unison with the Area Director of Finance and the Assistant Director of Finance.

By joining the team, you will be working within a very supportive and dynamic role to ensure that the department provides the upmost accuracy of accounting and analysis, while thriving to improve on efficiency and processes and meeting guest and owner expectations.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Receives all invoices, matches invoices with purchase orders and receiving slips, when necessary. Verifies pricing, extensions, and additions on all invoices.

• Assist Finance Team with completing the year-end audit process.

• Point person for any discrepancies with vendors.

• Follow up with Managers/Department Heads to receive digital approval for all Non-PO invoices.

• Maintains files for paid and unpaid invoices, in accordance with Hyatt’s Record Retention Policies.

• Balances supplier’s monthly statements to the hotel accounts payable records.

• Maintains adequate up-to-date files for accounts payable records including but not limited to invoices, credit memos, purchase card receipts and shipping receipts.

• Works in conjunction with Receiving Clerk on guest package receiving and storage, and entries in Birchstreet.

• Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance and/or Hospitality preferred but not required.

• 1 year or more of accounting experience, preferably in a hotel.

• Prior experience with Birchstreet, Oracle and/or Markview preferred.

• Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel.

• Must possess the following strengths: Effective communicator, team player, goal driven, willingness to provide exceptional customer service.
