Job Summary:
The HR Coordinator at The Verve Hotel - Boston Natick will play a critical role in managing and supporting the human resource functions of the hotel. This individual will be the main point of contact for all HR-related inquiries and will work closely with the HR Manager to ensure that all human resource policies, procedures and programs align with the overall goals and mission of the hotel. The HR Coordinator will also serve as a liaison between management and employees, promoting a positive work culture and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly position with a compensation rate of $22 per hour, paid biweekly. Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for all HR-related inquiries and act as a liaison between management and employees
- Administer and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management
- Facilitate the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, screening, and new hire orientation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure confidentiality and security of employee information
- Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Coordinate and conduct employee training and development programs
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive work culture
- Stay informed about industry trends and changes in employment laws and regulations, and make recommendations for updates to HR policies and procedures
- Handle employee separations and offboarding processes
- Complete other tasks and projects as assigned by the HR Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to human resources
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, payroll systems, and recruiting platforms.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion
- Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
