We are looking for a detail oriented, head chef trained in healthy, sustainable and organic scratch cooking methods, with experience in special dietary needs or willingness to learn.
This job is for you if:
Want to lead a rock star, professional culinary team and still get home in time for dinner
Cook with great finesse and can produce Michelin star level meals.
You are extremely detail oriented.
You have some knowledge of dietary needs and are able to substitute ingredients to create a final product that wows our clients regardless of their dietary restrictions and preferences.
You can plan unique and creative menus, ranging from weekly prepared meals, to seasonal catering menus, to fine dining chef's table dinners offered to our VIP clients.
You're experienced supervising a team of culinary professionals.
You are skilled at vendor relations and can expand our list of purveyors to include local organic farms and fishermen.
You can balance food costs while still obtaining premium ingredients.
To be successful in this role, you must:
Be a GREAT communicator, who can accurately and easily communicate to the team a client's special dietary needs and make sure meals are made exactly as they should be.
Be a strong team leader who can deal with food production, manage food costs, pricing, creating work schedules, placing vendor orders, etc.
Be extremely comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail oriented kitchen.
Incorporate creativity into menu planning and food preparation while also adhering to client preferences.
Be comfortable with changing menus every week. Every client gets their own, peronal menu every single week.
Have the ability to work well under pressure with little to no supervision and the ability to stay calm and focused in all situations.
Have flexibility in your schedule.
Be comfortable with technology and computers.
