OppNet is seeking a mission-aligned Coordinator of People and Culture to join our People team. This role is an exciting opportunity that is critical to executing OppNet’s People and Culture vision and strategy, which impacts every team across the organization. This person will foster a positive end-to-end employee experience, working on projects ranging from recruiting, onboarding, staff development, and culture enhancement.
You are a highly organized individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines. You are a strong executor with a proven track record of getting things done, particularly in the realm of project management where precision and efficiency are paramount. In prior roles, you've demonstrated that you can effectively create detailed project plans, as well as juggle multiple projects with a keen eye for detail. You are a strong team player. You understand that the success of the People Team relies on your ability to communicate clearly and execute tasks in a timely manner. You're skilled at managing projects on your own, but you also enjoy working with others, including connecting with people at different levels across the organization.

People and HR Support (40%)
Recruitment and Hiring: Partner with the Director of HR in support of OppNet’s recruitment and hiring initiatives, which includes selection process support to hiring managers, including candidate pipeline management.
Onboarding: Create, update or maintain needed onboarding tools and procedures to support new OppNet staff members’ successful start with the organization
Performance Management: Provide the needed project support to OppNet’s Performance Management cycle such as managing the centralized structures for ongoing performance conversations
HR Data and Metrics: Gather, analyze and present data that aligned with people team goals, including but not limited to performance management metrics, recruitment and selection, retention, etc.
Project, Administrative and Team Support (20%)
Support the execution of the People team’s vision and strategy for people, talent operations and organizational culture to ensure strong planning, alignment, and execution, including org-wide strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects
Maintain HR Administrative functions (Employee Personnel Files, Compliance of I-9 Forms, and ensuring all records are up to date) as needed
Handle high-level calendar upkeep and organization, including scheduling and coordination of internal and external meetings with consistent attention to prioritization
Respond to all employment verification requests
Respond to other tasks and projects, as assigned.
Organizational Culture (20%)
As a member of the People team, serve as a culture carrier for OppNet to ensure that OppNet is a great place to work by creating an inclusive work environment grounded in our core values and implementing practices, systems, and policies that reflect our focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Support the structures, meetings, events, and habits that promote strong connection and experience for staff as part of OppNet’s organizational culture initiatives (e.g. staff collective, HR Lunch and Learns, Community Circles, etc.)
Build authentic, deep relationships across the organization in order to keep a pulse on the organization and ensure that the vision and approach to our operations and talent work is responsive to the needs of the organization and the staff who work here
Support the administration of staff engagement surveys and related culture-building priorities
Support OppNet’s internal communication strategy, including but not limited to, contributing to the Big Ops Newsletter for People team updates, maintaining the People team’s calendar of events
Assist with the coordination of activities designed to celebrate\appreciate staff, and build community
Participate in organization-wide DEI learning sessions, equity working groups, and optional identity-based affinity groups
Attend weekly team meetings, All Staff meetings, team retreats, and annual institution-wide retreat
Develop professional and personal intentions related to OppNet’s DEI commitment, incorporated into annual performance reviews.
Compliance, Systems, Tools & Planning (20%)
In collaboration with Director of HR, work to ensure that OppNet complies with all applicable laws and regulations concerning employment practices, employee health and safety, employee and labor relations;
Build out People Team tools that will strengthen organizational effectiveness (eg. hiring manager toolkit, job description bank, talent database, etc.)
Support the codification and knowledge management of People Team policies and resources, including an internal HR manual
Three to five years of full-time professional work experience, HR experience is a plus
Strong desire to support the people and HR functions in order to maximize the experience of OppNet staff members
Significant demonstrated project management experience;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Strong skills using Google Suite and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and can be counted on to produce high-quality work;
Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision;
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and integrity when managing sensitive information;
Demonstrated belief in OppNet’s mission and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) values.

We take a thoughtful and deliberate approach to generating salary offers that take into account previous work experience, the role you’re entering into, and equity within OppNet. Equity is important to us and it is critical that our compensation approach ensures equity across the organization. Hence, we make every effort to make our first offer our best offer because we want to ensure equity and demonstrate that we value you and your work from day one.
The hiring salary range for this role is $59,447 - $65,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
At OppNet, eligible employees can enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical coverage (health, dental, and vision), an HRA, Flexible Spending Account, family leave (up to 100% coverage for twelve weeks), life insurance, and retirement benefits. Full-time employees can participate in our 403(b) retirement benefit program with up to a 3% employer match. Additionally, we offer generous time off from work with up to 58 fully paid non-working days (through a combination of vacation, sick, and holidays).
