Position OverviewTo achieve our business transformation goals, our People Obsession must be at the center of everything we do. The Director, People & Culture US, reports to the Head of People Culture for the Americas. In this role you will oversee all people functions within your assigned US based client groups.

This role is in New York City (Hybrid: 2-3 days in the office).

What you’ll be doing:

Leadership

  • Partner with senior leaders to anticipate and identify future people-oriented issues to ensure the people strategies are consistent with a high performing culture and the current and future needs of the business
  • Participate in business planning for the region which includes developing and supporting people systems related to staffing, retention, organizational development, performance management and training designed to support business strategies
  • Influence and coach leadership and management on people decisions ensuring alignment with people strategies, applicable employment laws to maximize results
  • Lead P&C team member (Operations)

Partner and support various Employee Resource Groups (2)

Talent Management and Employee Experience

Liaise with hiring managers and Market Leaders to identify and prioritize immediate hiring needs including leveling, role responsibilities

Reimagine and develop a dynamic and engaging new hire orientation as well as offboarding and exit interviews

Provide counsel to managers and employees in dealing with a broad range of human resources policies and procedures, and employee relations matters, balancing company and employee needs to enhance business performance

Facilitate and lead the annual employee engagement survey analysis, presentation, and action planning

Participate in large-scale strategic projects for NA and Global P & C initiatives

Develop and deliver learning programs

Total Rewards

Partner with payroll on systems, policies and change management programs

Provide analysis and reporting of key people metrics, using compensation surveys, leaver data, demographics, and research, and report results

Familiarity with HRIS systems - TalentTree, Workday (coming in 2025), Lattice, etc.

 Compliance

Consistent application of people and policies, salary administration, job evaluation, performance management, benefit and other plans and programs

Ensure legal compliance with all applicable laws in United States as well as specific laws for each state and/or city

What You'll Need:

  • 10 years of HR experience in a complex organization (matrix) developing and leading high-impact people programs.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable items with, strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships across multiple geographic locations.Advise, consult, and partner with senior management regarding organizational alignment, succession plans, etc., plus issues affecting a dispersed workforce across multiple locations.
  • Strong operational and project management skills in leading and coordinating regional/ global transformation initiatives.
  • Manage complexities and resolve and or appropriately escalate complex issues as necessary.
  • Some travel required- up to 20%.
