Job Title: House Manager
Reports to: Director of Patron Services

House Manager is a full-time salaried position responsible for the Front of House (FOH) Operations including the collaboration with the Director of Community Advancement & Volunteers (DCAV), Box Office Management, Stage Management, and Volunteers to ensure the highest quality of patron experience for performances and special events. This position requires 40 hours on site to be appropriately divided between show hours and administrative duties. Availability for evenings and weekends is required.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• • Oversee Assistant House Managers, FOH Interns, and FOH Volunteers, including concessions and ushers.
  • Training and proper implementation of TNP policies and structure.
  • Excellent service for patrons, volunteers, and staff.
  • Along with the DPS, maintain, order, inventory, and enhance the concession stand, bar, and subscriber bar.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for all patrons and volunteers.
  • Maintain knowledge of current TNP shows, rentals, and other special events.
  • Programming and monitoring volunteer sign ups.
  • Programming and monitoring ticket scanning equipment.
  • Other duties, as assigned by Director of Patron Services.

Qualifications and requirements:

• • Experience in hospitality and/or patron services.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, specifically Wednesday through Sundays, with the occasional Tuesday evenings.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office suite and/or Google Docs & Sheets
  • Willingness to make decisions and act within established policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency with patron services and interaction and able to quickly and efficiently define and solve problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to demonstrate resilience in times of shifting priorities.
  • Ability to be physically active for long periods time, move quickly, and the ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Sense of humor.
  • Knowledge of N-Scan Ticket Scanners, Sign Up Genius, Square POS, and Tessitura is a plus.
  • Working in a performing arts environment is preferable but not required.
