The Mom Project is Hiring a Remote Operations Manager

We are seeking an Operations Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. The role is 100% remote to these locations: Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Sunnyvale, CA.
What You’ll Do:
Support Camera, Haptics, Internet Protocol (IP), Projectors, Sensors Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) team:
Collaborate w/ GSMs to ensure continuity of supply for New Product Introductions (NPIs) and Mass Production (MP) programs
Maintain Schedule of NPI and drive material needs (forecasting, inventory, etc) across all company Hardware (HW) Programs
Onboard third parties to the company platform and create Purchase Requests
Initiate Legal Agreement Processes (non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), Third Party Administrator (TPA), Asana and other intake forms)
Route and track the ongoing status of Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), invoices, contracts
Drive project management and due diligence initiatives
For example: setting up meetings, drafting and publishing actions and meeting minutes, tracking actions and deliverables, maintaining internal tools and supplier documents
Follow through, follow up, and drive projects to completion
Create and maintain central databases necessary for Request for Quote (RFQs), Bill of Material (BOM), spend analysis and forecasting
Understand the requirements of database(s) and own database creation, optimization and management
Generate analysis or reports to effectively support the team
Update database on a consistent basis, both within the team and with broader organization if needed
Must-Haves:
2-4 years of relevant work experience
Up to 5 years in a strategic sourcing or engineering-related role
Understanding of supply chain and the importance of Strategic Sourcing
Can-Do attitude, willingness to learn, detail-oriented and self-motivated
Strongly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Google Slides, PowerPoint and have hands-on experience building advanced formulas, macro generation, automated data entry and handling large databases and sheets
Ability to see and understand the bigger picture
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to champion initiatives internally and externally, including a compilation of clear and concise briefing materials
Possess analytical skills and the ability to formulate a clear message
Capability to learn fast, and be willing to work in a “move fast” culture
Previous experience in consumer electronics and supply chain preferred
Technical background or understanding of technology, semiconductors preferred
Analytical and managing large amounts of data, spreadsheets preferred
Education:
BA/BS Engineering, Computer Science or Business-related role
Hours & Location:
M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote.
