Job Description

The Ford Agency is collaborating with one of DC's top law firms to find an experienced and professional HR Manager to manage leave administration for the Firm. This individual will manage the full cycle leave administration including workers compensation, FMLA, STD, LTD and other leave programs for the firm along with educating staff and attorneys on leave policies and keeping up to date with best practices.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Implement best practices for the full cycle of leave administration including workers comp, FMLA, STD, LTD, etc.
  • Recommend updates to policies based on market trends
  • Monitor and report leave of absence data
  • Create leave of absence reports for senior leadership
  • Manage vendor relationships associated with leave process
  • Create communications to educate employees about leave eligibility, entitlement, and the application process
  • Manage, train, and mentor a coordinator
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Qualifications Include:
  • 5 years of leave management experience in a legal environment
  • 2 years' experience managing a team
  • Extensive experience managing employee leave benefits
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Leadership skills and confidence to spearhead HR initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Proficiency in Workday preferred
