The Account Executive will be responsible for selling directly to dentists and orthodontists with the goal of accelerating revenue and generating higher case volume. The successful candidate will need to acquire and develop new accounts, as well as develop growth within existing accounts.
The role will involve interfacing with current and prospective partners, using data-driven insights to teach dentists and orthodontists about the benefits of the company's products and services, achieving sales targets, and managing a defined geography of accounts. The successful candidate will also need to provide education and training to dentists, orthodontists, and their staff, as well as communicate cross-functionally with other departments.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of outside business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, and preferably some industry experience selling medical devices, capital equipment, dental, or orthodontic products. A college degree or equivalent experience is required, as well as a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. The role will involve extensive travel within the region, including approximately 75% overnight travel. The candidate should be comfortable having business and clinical discussions, and should have proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications. Experience with a CRM system, such as Salesforce, is preferred.
