The Conway School of Nursing (CSON) has educational, research and service missions. The school provides nursing education programs at the masters, and doctoral levels to a diverse student body. The school conducts research related to nursing and health care via formal academic programs, service learning opportunities and outreach activities to the community.
This position provides support to the Dean, Manager for Operations & Marketing, Associate Dean of Administration, Associate Dean for MSN Programs, and Associate Dean for Doctoral Programs, and provides resources to students and faculty. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, event planning, and management skills, including data analysis, project management, coordination of task forces/other groups, and implementation/evaluation skills. Responsible for all on-campus and on-line program communications and academic support for the Conway School of Nursing.
Responsibilities:Provide administrative support related to comprehensive exams, dissertation defense proposals and oral dissertation defenses. Coordinate MSN, DNP and PhD Calendar of Events; schedule events and communicate important deadlines. Provide assistance in university and school events, planning faculty and staff events, organizing welcome baskets, retirement gifts, and ordering and maintaining office supplies. Responsible for creation and maintenance of On-line program information.
Serve as manager of student records. Follows FERPA regulations in maintaining confidential student information. Work closely with Associate Deans in establishing program course schedules, brochures, catalogs, requiring planning, coordination, knowledge and understanding of the academic program. Assemble information, as required, for the school's annual report to the University President or for any periodic required report to other members of the University administration. Organize and maintain the shared Google Drive.
Use systems in assisting with tasks including but not limited to registration, scheduling of classes, retrieving information as needed, prepare degree lists for graduating students, implementation of transfer credits, and periodic auditing. Using systems to process and form daily and weekly reports for faculty and staff. Working with faculty on appropriate courses scheduled for each semester and student changes and enrollment status.
Monitor and assist admissions processes, progressions, and graduation committees, including preparation of agendas, drafting minutes, and scheduling these meetings.
In collaboration with Associate Deans and Committee Chairs; create and track meeting agendas and minutes, including follow-up of action items. Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree and two (2) or more years of experience in a customer service, office support and/or university affairs are preferred. Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
