Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of the Interim Resource Manager, the Administrative Support Coordinator II provides highly advanced professional assistant work for the College of Business and Economics (CBE). The incumbent will be coordinating and overseeing high level administrative operations for the Dean's Office. The incumbent works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude with the use of initiative and independent judgment. The incumbent will: assist in the day-to-day operations and administration of the Dean's office; coordinate special events; coordinate the CBE Spotlights, provide content support for the Marketing and Communications team; obtain and coordinate various research and special reports as requested; provide contracts and grant support and special projects support; provide in-person office reception; answer multi-line phone system; and schedule and coordinate meetings. |
Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to four years of general office experience, which includes providing ongoing work coordination and/or lead responsibilities with notable accountability for the work results of support staff or unit function. Incumbent must have thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Must have ability to: operate Microsoft Office; draft and compose correspondence and standard reports; operate standard office equipment; perform basic arithmetic calculations; plan, organize and prioritize work; handle multiple work unit priorities and projects and meet deadlines; respond to routine inquiries; explain standard policies and procedures; analyze operational problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions; and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures independently where specific guidelines may not exist. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.
