We are currently seeking a proposal manager to support strategic and high-value ($50M ) proposals. The ideal candidate is analytical, inquisitive, and motivated to win. The pay scale for this position is $60K-$90K annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Your Role:

  • Supporting capture planning activities including win theme development
  • Facilitating capture meetings, proposal kickoffs, color-team reviews, and status meetings, including identifying and tracking action items and critical milestones
  • Analyzing solicitations and developing proposal management plans, compliance matrices, and writers’ outlines that are compliant and creative
  • Identifying, communicating, and quickly adapting to evolving client requirements
  • Preparing color-team review packages and providing clear guidance to reviewers to elicit feedback focused on increasing win potential
  • Partnering with operations managers and technical leads to co-write and review proposals so that they are clear, concise, and targeted to earn the highest rating, including executive summaries, approaches, resumes, and project descriptions
  • Interviewing experts to identify and articulate value-added benefits
  • Conceptualizing clear, compelling, and impactful visuals and graphics
  • Ensuring professional, consistent layout and format of all proposal sections
  • Leading production and assembly to submit fully compliant deliverables
  • Participating in color-team reviews of proposals produced by others, offering helpful feedback and repair strategies to increase win potential
  • Documenting and sharing lessons learned to enhance company-wide best practices and contribute to continuous improvement

To support operations across time zones and meet client deadlines, work is periodically required during evenings and weekends. Candidates must be able work effectively independently and collaboratively via virtual platforms. This position is remote, with minimal travel required, so stable high-speed wifi is a must.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years’ experience coordinating federal or state/local government proposals
  • Bachelor’s degree in English/Writing/Rhetoric/Communications, or other writing-intensive area of study that cultivates analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Must be reliable, flexible, responsive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with remote teams and shifting priorities, including able to work extended hours when required to meet client requirements
  • Must have an ability to read critically, think analytically, and organize and communicate information effectively
  • Should have strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Strong writing, revision, and editing skills are a plus; proposal writing in relevant markets is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Word is required; other preferred software includes MS Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat X Pro
