PROPOSAL MANAGER

Zermount Inc. is seeking a Proposal Manager who will provide support to the Business Development (BD) Team. The Proposal Manager will be the focal point of interaction with the customer and partners in regard to the capture process, leading all proposal efforts (e.g. proposal writing, schedule creation, template preparation, compliance matrix, hosting and leading review teams, etc.), creating and presenting briefs, preforming detailed requirements analysis, and other administrative duties as necessary. The proposal Manager will be responsible for conducting high-level analysis or processes, assistance with project management, and the ability to complete proposal related financial tasks as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend improvement actions for processes and policies, related to business development and proposal responses.
• Provide ITIL infrastructure knowledge to develop, improve, measure, and report on operational processes.
• Stay up to date on the latest processes and advancements to streamline and strengthen our proposal response process.
• Ability to document processes and procedures in standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate and deliver final proposal packages to government.
• Maintain and monitor project plans and project schedules.
• Familiarity with all components of Government proposal submission (e.g. past performance, technical volume, resumes, CPARs, etc.).
• Coordinate and schedule meetings and logistics in accordance with team availability.
• Develop briefs, presentations, communications and other project support material.
• Improve and develop new templates and support processes for revision (to include senior leadership reports, team weekly status reports, monthly project reports, etc.).
• Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
• Create and schedule all proposal management efforts.
• Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of related experience in business development, proposal management, and project management.
• Knowledge and experience working in the Federal government or with a large private industry.
• Report effectively risks and improvements to Executive leadership.
• Analyze past processes, current processes, and identify trends and make recommendations for improvements,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time-management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Working knowledge of the capture process and the Shipley Method.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and credibility.

Education

Bachelor preferable but professional experience is Permitted.

• Bachelor's degree in business, Business Management, Communications or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience as a proposal manager or business development specialist as well as experience directly supporting a Cybersecurity or Information Technology company.

Certifications and Training (Preferred)

A minimum of at least one of the following security certifications:

• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITILv3)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Security
• Scrum Master
• Certified Manager Certification (CM)
• Other related certification

Work Location

Remote; occasional onsite meetings at Zermount Corporate Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.

Hours of Operation

• Business Hours: 8:00 am EST - 4:30 pm EST.
