Tandym Group is Hiring a Finance Director Near New York, NY
An asset management firm in New York City is currently seeking a new Finance Director to join their growing CRE Finance team.
Responsibilities:
The Finance Director will be responsible for:
- Monthly closing, i.e. journal entry posting and rec on Investment Portfolio, bank/cash reconciliation, tracking expenses, liaise with AP
- Assisting in preparation of quarterly SEC filings, i.e. 10Q/10K
- Assisting in implementing of new reporting system
- Assisting in preparation of presentations for board of directors & investors.
- Acting as a liaison with deal team, legal, auditors
- Maintaining workpapers that are SOX compliant
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 12 years of experience in SEC reporting within SOX environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or a related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and other relevant Accounting standards
- Proficiency in Financial Statement Analysis and the ability to communicate complex financial information
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- CPA and/or parts passed
- Experience in application of ASC 810 - Consolidations, ASC 326 - CECL and ASC 842 - Leases
- Experience in the Real Estate Finance industry
