My client is a highly prestigious, well established boutique law firm with a fantastic long term client base.The Director of Finance is a very hands on accounting role, think best for a current Controller ready to move into the #1 spot in Finance & Accounting. The Director of Finance will report into the Managing Partner and the Partner Committee. They are located in NYC, they are in the office 4 days and remote 1 day.As always, these are permanent, full time, fully benefited salaried positions (these are NOT temp, or temp to perm).Compensation is based on experience:The DOF range is between $175k - $235k base discretionary bonusThe role will cover: ○ Manage all of Finance and Accounting ○ Manage a team of payroll, AP/AR ○ Manage banking relationships, cash flow, treasury functions, financial reporting to the Partners ○ Hands on with accruals, journal entries, time and billing, month end close ○ Preparing financial statements ○ Managing budgeting, forecasting, partner reporting Who are you? ○ Must come out of the Law Firm space ○ Must have time and billing ○ Pubic accounting foundation is a ○ Highly proficient in Excel (Pivot tables etc.) ○ CPA or parts passed is a ○ A minimum of a BA/BS in Accounting from a top accredited school ○ 10 years of experience. Exceptional communications skills are required. A great dynamic personality and the ability to work along your fellow colleagues is crucial. He or she must be able to effectively collaborate with individuals both inside and outside the company.
