Responsibilities:
Essential Duties: External Business Development
• Identify, target, and generate consistent and continuous referral stream from qualified referral sources as a result of an effective and systematic external business development sales execution yielding both census and revenue growth • Establish and maintain relationships with key area referral sources in the community. • Provide ongoing product-service education as a result of sales effort within the community, trade organizations, hospital departments, physicians, and other health care organizations, as appropriate • Participate in professional societies and activities related to the health care industry and community-based organizations • Develop and implement strategic account plan to achieve objectives for area of responsibility • Prepare and submit required sales management reports reflecting targets, progress and accomplishments. • Identify both new business opportunities and new customer call points within the communities served for additional revenue generation • Document referral activity within respective area of responsibility for efficiency and effectiveness • Maintain a thorough working proficiency and keep professional contact and account records current on the customer relationship management system • Organize Sunrise portfolio participation in community events, both offsite and onsite, including coordinating all marketing efforts (e.g. promotion of event, collateral, signage, etc.) • Coordinates joint marketing efforts with appropriate representatives of Sunrise Senior Living Communities to identify and meet with both prospective and existing customers, as appropriate • Communicates strategies, tactics, and results of their efforts with the Sunrise communities in their portfolio
Essential Duties: Financial Management
• Understands and manages the department budget and its impact on the community’s bottom line • Process and submit monthly expenses and budget data timely per Sunrise policies and internal business controls • Understands the internal cost associated with all Sunrise resident care programs
Essential Duties: Training, Leadership and Team Member Development • Partners in the delivery and participation in Sunrise University Training and self study programs during the required timeframe • Develops a working knowledge of state regulations and ensures compliance • Keeps abreast of professional developments in the field by reading, attending conferences, and training sessions
Qualifications:
• College degree preferred • 3-5 years’ experience in consultative sales; healthcare product and/or service sales preferred • A demonstrated track record of accomplished outside sales/account management • Ability to handle multiple priorities • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate group presentations • Competent in organizational, time management skills • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills • Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications with the ability to learn new applications
