Experienced Outside Sales Representative (Janitorial Industry)
Stratus Building Solutions provides "Stratus Green Clean" services, using proprietary chemicals and equipment, to office buildings, shopping centers, restaurants, retail businesses, dealerships, medical offices, religious centers, and more in the USA and Canada. Our unique program solves one of the major problems that face facility and property managers today.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new janitorial service contracts and accounts for our company. Your primary goal will be to generate revenue through the sale of janitorial services to commercial clients in the Portland, Vancouver, and Salem metro areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
  • Identify potential clients and businesses in need of janitorial services through various sources, including online research, networking, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain a list of qualified leads and prospects.
Sales Presentations:
  • Contact prospective clients to schedule and conduct sales presentations.
  • Present our janitorial services in a compelling and professional manner.
  • Customize service proposals to address the specific needs and requirements of each client.
Proposal and Contract Negotiation:
  • Prepare detailed service proposals and contracts outlining the scope of work, pricing, and terms and conditions.
  • Negotiate terms with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
Relationship Building:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any client concerns or issues.
Sales Targets and Reporting:
  • Set and achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities, leads, and client interactions.
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates to management.
Market Research:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the janitorial or cleaning services industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Compensation:
Salary will be discussed during phone screenings and we have a competitive commission structure with the potential for high earnings for motivated and successful sales representatives.
