Job Title: Outside Sales Representative

Outside Sales Position At Longstanding Local Business

Machinery and Cutting Tool Sales (we supply area machine shops)

$18 to $25 per hour, depending on experience ($37,500 to $52,000 annually)

Plus potential bonuses and very competitive benefits package, including:

We are looking for a motivated individual with either sales experience and/or knowledge of machinery and cutting tools, preferably both. You will be both maintaining accounts we have long standing (often several decades) relationships with, as well as seeking new customers to add to our base of clients. Associates degree level of education or more preferred, but not necessarily required. You will be making in person sales calls in a company provided vehicle, obtaining new sales orders and quotes, and dropping off goods from previous sales generated. After you get back at the shop, you will be dropping off signed packing slips and either processing your own new orders and quotes and/or distributing them out to be processed to our inside sales staff. Almost all of your sales calls will be in the Portland metro area. You will work a typical 40 work week, Monday thru Friday, with weekends off. And there is definitely room for advancement--we want to find someone who really wants this to be a long-term career job. We are a small (6 person) close knit company. We don’t have any of the “corporate” feel. We have always been locally owned and operated since our founding in 1946, and treasure being a fixture in the Portland community.
