Legacy Supply Chain is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our transportation brokerage office in Dublin, OH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving new business sales through a hunter mentality and a consultative sales approach. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in transportation brokerage and new business development experience, with a keen ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities in the transportation industry. This position includes a competitive salary and bonus plan with a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

• Monday Friday 8am to 5pm
• Starting salary based on experience with guaranteed commission for the first 12 months monthly uncapped commission

What to expect as a Business Development Manager:

• Develop and execute strategic plans to identify, target, and acquire new business opportunities within the transportation industry, focusing on freight brokerage services.
• Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends, and leverage this information to develop targeted sales strategies.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through cold calling, networking, and relationship-building activities.
• Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand client challenges and pain points, and effectively communicate how our services can address these needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations that address client needs and differentiate our services.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure profitable business relationships.
• Utilize CRM software to track sales activities, manage leads, and report on sales performance metrics.
• Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential opportunities and threats.
• Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics, consistently driving revenue growth for the organization.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation brokerage, with a strong understanding of the logistics industry and freight transportation.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in new business development, with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong hunter mentality with a passion for prospecting and generating new business opportunities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
• Self-motivated with a proactive and results-oriented approach to sales.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
