POSITION DUTIES
The main purpose of thisposition will be to supervise and perform full performance levelresponsibilities for all inventory (sensitive and non-sensitive), fixed assetsand the movement of inventory, throughout the Maryland�MilitaryDepartment. This position oversees the inventory control system to ensurecompliance with DGS Inventory Control Manual, performing quarterly audits ofmissing inventory agency wide. This position monitors and ensures supplies arebeing used properly to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse. This position willensure proper disposal of surplus property in accordance with DGSrequirements.This position will prepare the Annual Inventory reports ofall equipment and theAnnual Inventory ofMaterials and Supplies. This position is alsoresponsible and oversees the Military Department's Vehicle Fleet Accounting,ensuring all assigned vehicles are properly titled, registered, and inspectedin accordance with State Law and that vehicles are properly maintained byaccountable officers.This position providessupervision to the�Inventory Control Specialist.Position Duties includebut are not limited to:��Coordinate andsupervise physical inventories and certify those inventories��Ensure overallaccountability for land, buildings, and improvement capital and non-capital.���Register and inspect statevehicle fleet.��Enter data for allvehicles�.��Accounts and controlsgas and maintenance cards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:���Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience: Two years of administrative staff or professional work. Notes:1. Candidates may substitute 30�credit hours from an accredited college or university for�one�year of the required experience.2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree�from a college or university for the required experience.3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included�regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required�experience.

� Experience with Fleet Management� Experience with State Travel Regulations�� Experience in handling Inventory of Equipment, supplies andmaterials�� Experience in Microsoft Office Suites, Google Meet, Google Docsand verbal/ written communication skills�� Experience with computerized inventory systems, familiarity withFMIS-ADPICS approval process��
LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION
This position willrequire the ability to pass a State & Federal background check to accessmilitary facilities within the state of Maryland.� Being able to accessthese facilities is a condition of employment for this position.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties whichrequire the operation of a motor vehicle.� Employees assigned such dutieswill be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in theState of Maryland with less than 5 points to operate a state vehicle.
