STAR CONCESSIONS
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Accounts Payable Clerk will support the accounts payable department.
REPORTS TO:
Accounts Payable Manager
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verifying invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Processing payments to vendors
- Perform monthly reconciliations
- Reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies
- Generating periodic reports related to accounts payable
- Responding to inquiries from vendors and internal staff
- Performs any all duties as assigned
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to understand and apply accounting principles.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Fast Learner; Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and flexible.
Education and/or Experience
· Excellent oral and written communications skills
· Proven working experience with a knack for numbers
· Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
· Proficiency in English and in MS Office
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Proficiency in use of calculator and office machines
· A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Other Skills and Abilities
· Proficient in computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite of products. Restaurant 365 experience preferred
· Ability to analyze, research, disseminate and make recommendations on multiple projects
· Keen analytical ability and detail oriented
· Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality
· Ability to interact effectively with all levels of team members, joint venture partners and owners
PHYSICAL AND HOUR REQUIREMENTS
· This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week with expectation that more hours may be required to reach all goals, responsibilities and to meet the needs of the business.
· This position requires a 100% attendance expectation with the exception of approved time off requests.
· Ability to ambulate through all square footage for the support center
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
