About the Job
Support the account management team on a daily basis through timely implementation of a range of assignments, including media relations, writing, research and account administration/reporting assignments.An Associate Account Executive (AAE) also focuses on better understanding PR and its role in growing a client’s business.

Strategic Thinking & Planning• Demonstrate KWT Global’s philosophy and values, particularly our client-centered and design thinking approach• Have a strong analytical and learning ability, and the resourcefulness to tackle new challenges• Identify trends, hot topics and areas of opportunity for clients on a regular basis• Suggest ideas for relevant pitches for clients, based on the news cycle and current trends
Account Management• Possess, or begin to refine to a level of high competence, strong presentation skills and writing abilities across a range of media and marketing materials• Complete assignments, meet deadlines and work with supervisors to understand how they can improve• Identify trends, updates and potential applications of social media platforms relevant to client communications
• Possess basic media relations skills including, but not limited to:
- Ability to create media lists
- Conduct research (primary, secondary, etc.), investigate relevant trends and target outlets/reporters
- Ability to develop reporter relationships and advise teams on contacting appropriate reporters
- Understanding of the pitch process and support teams in developing and pitching of creative story ideas
- Proficiency in scheduling/coordinating media support
• Proficiency in creating thoughtful briefing books with relevant analysis and insights beyond what Cision/Gorkana provides for client media interviews• Demonstrate a general understanding of client's industries and products, understand client messaging and identify key trends (both client related and general), and articulate these concepts within pitch drafts and content drafts (e.g. blog posts, etc.)• Be present and engaged during client calls, take notes and actively participate in internal meetings and agency brainstorms
Administrative• Demonstrate competency around and the ability to teach others agency operations, procedures (e.g. time sheets, expense reports) and resources (e.g. reference materials, research tools, etc.)• Accurately and consistently enter time
