Overview

We are looking for an experienced Manager of Tax Reporting who will be responsible for managing our quarterly and annual tax provision processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in ASC 740 tax accounting principles and Onesource tax provision software. They will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely and compliant tax reporting for our organization, optimizing tax strategies, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
• Maintain, update and administer OneSource tax provision software
• Identify opportunities to streamline tax reporting processes, enhance system capabilities, and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with all tax-related financial reporting requirements, including preparation of tax disclosures for financial statements and coordination with external auditors
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, conduct research on complex tax issues, and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on tax implications of business decisions
• Provide leadership and guidance to the tax reporting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and proficiency in tax accounting principles for both US corporate and partnerships preferred
• Extensive experience with OneSource tax provision software, and Alteryx preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex tax projects
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in New York City for this role is $160,000 -$200,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
