The Staff Accountant applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.

The Staff Accountant applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and monthly closing.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions
- Maintain Corporation bank accounts and treasury management.
- Assist in establishing, documenting, maintaining, and coordinating the implementation accounting control and procedures.
- Analyze and review budgets and expenditures. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and review expenses, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
- Analyze expenditure trends and ensure expenditure control.
- Assist Financial Coordinator with daily tasks as needed and Facility staff with monthly close process.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
- Assist with the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
- Assist Controller with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
- Assist with accounting system training of new facility staff as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required,
- At least three years of previous experience working in Accounting;
- Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications
