ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Controller
Supervises: None
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, report, identify, and correct errors or discrepancies
- Assist with monthly close processes including preparation of monthly journal entries
- Involved in the preparation and processing of the monthly Accounts Receivable and billing
- Receive and post payments from ACH, Check (scanning) and credit card payments. Send out reminders that are past due.
- Daily reconciling of store cash and credit card sales
- Processes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the correct accounts
- Assist with implementing and maintaining accounting policies and internal financial controls
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment and meet strict deadlines
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a Bachelor's degree in business with emphasis in Accounting
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Previous experience with Sage 100 preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills expected
