Sparks Group is Hiring a Remote Human Resources Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Manages all Human Resource duties according to HR and industry standards while ensuring legal compliance.
  • Maintains and processes payroll using ADP; this includes tracking and administering salaries, benefits, leave requests, payroll reports, proper recording, filing, and maintaining the ADP Workforce Now HRIS system.
  • Manages relationships with benefits brokers, directs and provides information of coverage, manages enrollment, new hires, and termination of coverage.
  • Supports plan evaluations, updates, and communicates changes to staff.
  • Coordinates with management on job postings, interviewing, hiring, performance reviews, and termination processes.
  • Provides orientation and processes onboarding and off boarding procedures.
  • Evaluates and provides updates to the employee policy manual.
  • Handles investigations and resolution of employee issues, concerns, and conflicts.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal policies and procedures.Qualifications/Background Profile:
    • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field; HR Certification desired.
    • 3-4 years of experience in office administration, payroll processing, benefit administration, and human resources.
    • Possesses extensive knowledge of full-cycle payroll functions including preparation and balancing—ADP preferred
    • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of both Federal and State labor laws and HR best practices.
    • Knowledge of ACA reporting requirements and procedures.
    • Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office applications and HRIS.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels, both orally and in writing.
    • Competent interpersonal skills, ability to build trusting, respectful relationships; understands that healthy employees and relationships are key to a successful organization.
    • Enthusiasm to foster a workplace culture that values healthy feedback and fosters a safe and inclusive environment.
    • Highly detail oriented and organized, with an ability to meet assigned deadlines.
    • Needs to be a positive, enthusiastic team player.
    • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
