Regional Vice President, Sales

Purpose of role: Manage Regional Sales Mangers (RSM )in the assigned territory to increase the satisfied customer base to attain company targets. In addition to leading by example, direct line management and development of the sales force in the region, the RVP is responsible for delivering on targeted quarterly and annual revenue. This is a traveling sales management position with up to 70% travel expectations.

Main Tasks and Responsibities:

  • Manage individual and overall regional unit budget and ASP targets
  • Accountable for key accounts in the region, developing direct relationships with them and tracking their performance as a group, deploying additional resources as needed
  • Actively seek out potential large accounts and develop acquisition & retention plans with the VP Sales
  • Day to day coaching of RSMs, including riding along with RSMs in the field and providing feedback for continued improvement
  • Travel with each RSM for at least 2 days per quarter to observe, provide feedback on and then train and develop RSM skills
  • Monitor and develop sales performance
  • Analyze sales data analysis and distributes sales data to RSMs
  • Foster a culture of self-leadership within the team

Other duties include:

  • Participate in local and national trade shows and customer training events
  • Participate in management meeting.
  • Help maintain and develop sales training materials
  • Participate in developing and implementing sales tolls
  • Participate in developing individual sales budget targets
  • Recruit sales talent on an ongoing basis
  • Plan and execute national sales meetings
  • Cover the regional customer sales in non-staffed territories as required

Education and Skillset:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, Masters or Doctorate in Audiology preferred
  • Business to business sales experience or industry experience required
  • 3 years' sales leadership experience in hearing health, clinical setting, or medical device sales
  • Prior hearing aid industry experience strongly desired, but not required
  • Effective verbal and written English communication and compelling presentation skills, excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer orientation. Must be good at building and maintaining relationships
  • Strong detail orientation
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability and commitment to follow up
  • Effective ability to analyze problems and solve them in the best interests of the customer and Unitron
  • Basic math skills
  • Close and cooperative working relationships with customers, inside and outside teams, RVP team, Manager, and other departments
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to coach and develop employees, lead and delegate work responsibilities, and resolve employee issues

A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova
