Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. You will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and creativity while leading a team of kitchen staff.
Duties:
- Plan and execute menus, ensuring a variety of dishes that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain stock levels
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards
- Collaborate with management to develop new recipes and menu items
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following food safety regulations
- Oversee food preparation, including cooking, baking, grilling, and plating
- Coordinate with servers and other staff members to ensure smooth service
- Handle customer inquiries or concerns regarding menu items or dietary restrictions
Experience:
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Extensive knowledge of food management, including inventory control and cost management
- Experience in catering and banquet operations is preferred
- Proficient in menu planning, recipe development, and food service techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of kitchen management best practices, including sanitation guidelines
