Siloam provides a unique, interdisciplinary model of whole-person health care that addresses the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual determinants of health of our patients. Our staff is anchored by a multicultural primary care team that serves alongside roughly 300 volunteer interpreters, doctors, nurses, and other licensed medical specialists each year to provide comprehensive health care to Nashville’s most vulnerable.

 What You'll Do

TheChief Development Officer is responsible for the strategic leadership of funddevelopment to support Siloam Health's mission. The CDO also works with the CEO to optimize the alignment of initiativesand strategies and to ensure brand consistency through all parts of theorganization, internally and externally. The CDO directly supervises theDirector of Development, Director of Donor Relations, and Director ofCommunications.

  • Leada sustainable development plan encompassing major gifts, corporate giving,church giving, annual giving, monthly giving, donor recognition, cross-sectorpartnerships, and brand strategy.
  • Leadthe Development Department in planning, implementing, and executingcomprehensive fundraising programs with multimillion-dollar annual developmenttargets, aligning department goals and efforts with the organization’s broaderstrategic efforts.
  • Work closely with the Director of DonorRelations to grow the existing major gifts and planned giving program.
  • Balanceefforts to seek out and develop new funding sources while also maintaining astrong donor retention rate.
  • Workwith the Director of Development to execute revenue-generating events with theinvolvement of key Siloam and community volunteers.
  • Cultivatea dynamic relationship with the Board and all relevant committees as directedby the CEO, primarily the development committee.
  • Overseebrand strategy and external communications, including but not limited to,website, print pieces, digital communications, and social media.
  • Serveas a member of Siloam’s Senior Leadership Team team.
  • Develop strategies and leadprospecting for sizable federal and state grants that support both Siloam’songoing work and ways the organization plans to grow.
  • Participate in ongoing qualityimprovement (QI) activities within the roles defined above.

Who We Are Looking For

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’sdegree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum5 years’ experience in non-profit development
  • Minimum5 years’ experience leading staff and volunteers

Qualifications

  • Passionate about Christian ministry to the underserved and in full agreement with Siloam’s mission and core values
  • Willingness to serve persons with limited access to healthcare and who are from different cultures and faith beliefs
  • Energized by leading a team and aggressive revenue goals
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office products
  • Adherence to OSHA and confidentiality requirements
