This is an entry level position that works closely with management to support the department and collectors with basic daily clerical duties. The perfect candidate for this position is a well-organized, self-motivated, and creative individual that pays close attention to details. The role of the Entry Level Collections Support Specialist is to assist with the daily activities and responsibilities within the collections department.
Below is a list of functions for the Entry Level Collections Support Specialist position. This is not an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities, there may be times that the individual in this role may be asked to assist with additional tasks or projects when necessary.
o Processing and distributing all mail incoming/outgoing
o Preparing and submitting all invoices for payment
o Requesting and returning all loan files to/from the file room
o Maintaining neat and organized filing areas within the department
o Preparing, sending, filing collections notices
o Preparing and sending loan documents for assignment to legal placement for referrals for demand notices, bankruptcy cases, and foreclosures (upon management direction)
o Printing, filing, and notating loan accounts of demand notices issued
o Prepare, file, and track insurance claims
