Job Overview:
Shooters Waterfront is looking to take on creative and experience Pastry Cooks to join our award-winning waterfront operation.
We are hiring Pastry Cooks to join our team!
Reports to:Pastry Chef.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)
- The ideal candidate will be well-versed in pastry arts with a passion for sweet and delicious creations.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Prepare baked goods for service, baked in cooperation with buffet, a la carte, and banquet.
- The answer, report, and follow the Pastry Chef, Exc. Chef, and Director of Culinary instructions.
- Clean up station and take care of leftover dessert.
- Stock inventory appropriately.
- Ensure the baked goods come out in high quality and timely fashion.
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
- Proven baking and production experience, including experience as prep. A la cart dessert.
- Excellent understanding of various baking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Familiar with industry's best practices.
- Must have cake decorating skills, clean & sharp cut for cakes.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to follow exact recipes and procedures.
- Must be available to work weekends and all holidays.
- Must have excellent organization and communication skills.
- Ensure all pastries are consistent and up to our standards.
- Must possess reliable transportation.
- Reliable, consistent work attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.
Wage is dependent upon skills and experience.
