Senior Care Authority is Hiring a Business Development Specialist Near Melbourne, FL

The Company

Senior Care Authority (SCA) is a leading eldercare consulting and placement firm. The Company is based in California with 75 locally owned office locations nationwide. SCA provides seniors and families with personalized, concierge-style services to help them evaluate and select the very best living and care solutions that fit their specific situation. The Greater-Melbourne office was established in 2022. The company has established agreements with senior living communities across Brevard County including independent living, assisted living, and memory care units. We are looking to expand our team due to significant demand and available unmet opportunities.

The Opportunity

We seek to hire a full-time business development specialist (BDS) to drive leads, build relationships and increase market awareness of our services with key referral sources primarily in Brevard County. The BDS will drive referrals from both healthcare (hospitals, skilled nursing, etc.) and non-health care sources (attorneys, senior centers, etc.). This position will be responsible for growing the number of professional contacts within each account that refer to SCA and achieving a target number of direct patient referrals to meet or exceed monthly goals.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate is a sales/marketing professional with experience and relationships in the senior healthcare arena. We are seeking that unique salesperson that is both aggressive yet compassionate; focused on driving results but in an ethical manner and tailored to providing the highest quality service and outcomes to seniors and their families. The ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team will be critical to success. Having existing local relationships in senior services is also desired.

Compensation package includes base salary, attractive commission structure, and flexible work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop (or expand upon existing) relationships that drive patient/client referrals for senior living communities and consulting engagements
  • Pre-qualify leads and ensure transition to SCA placement/consulting specialist
  • Consistently achieve goals for number of referrals and placements each month
  • Build the SCA brand among a network of healthcare professionals and raise awareness of our multiple service offerings and how SCA can best help clients/patients
  • Achieve goals through expanding existing relationships, cold calling, managing appointments, in-person meetings and presentations
  • Work collaboratively with internal management team and external partners to ensure the highest quality experience for client's education, placements and overall engagement

Qualifications

  • New business development experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
  • Self-motivated. This position is highly entrepreneurial and requires the ability to work largely independently but also in conjunction with SCA teammates and partners
  • Ability to travel throughout Brevard County (required)
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred)
  • Existing healthcare/geriatrics relationships in the target market would be a plus
