Scout Design Studio is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Dallas, TX

Description

The purpose of the HR Manager is to manage all HR functions of the business. The HR Manager will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission and talent strategy. 

Requirements

Essential Functions Statement(s) 

  • Coordinates recruitment strategies and manage the full cycle recruiting process. 
  • Coordinates the onboarding and orientation of new employees 
  • Develops and leads the performance management and review process 
  • Coaches and supports leadership in performance management, administration of the discipline process, and terminations 
  • Reviews weekly and semi-monthly payroll register submission
  • Overses benefits administration and annual 5500 filing
  • Reviews and recommends compensation changes and works with management on succession planning 
  • Coordinates and administers FMLA and various company leave programs 
  • Spearheads biannual employee feedback sessions
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and legal responsibilities 
  • Designs and implements company policies that promote a safe work environment and comply with labor regulations, files annual OSHA reports,
  • Acts as the primary liaison with third party safety organization.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues 
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization 
  • Ensure that employee paperwork and documentation is up to date, filed securely and managed according to federal guidelines 
  • Mentor and support the Social Committee to provide regular employee activities 
  • Coordinate and oversee the maintenance of the employee break room areas

Education, Experience, & Certifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field 
  • 5 years of related experience 
  • Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
  • Apple/Mac experience encouraged 
  • Paylocity or similar HRIS experience highly preferred 
  • Certifications and Licenses: (S)PHR, SHRM-(S)CP preferred

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. 
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
