SBF Search is Hiring a Service Manager Near Elkridge, MD

Job Description

Primary responsibility is leadership of the front-line Service Delivery Team personnel. Oversee the development and implementation of innovative solutions, as well as results for Services business (BAS, Security, and Mechanical) in the marketplace.

The successful candidate will be a high performing, highly organized business professional responsible for leading a team of Service professionals serving the Washing DC & Baltimore Metro Areas. You will be a servant leader and consultative execution approach positioning the team as the the building professionals and the trusted adviser to the customers and the market.

This position requires active involvement in the building owner community through professional organizations and networking within the communities throughout the market. The successful candidate will involve themselves in the local communities (business development) to build and develop relationships that will benefit the Mid Atlantic Branch.

Compensation commensurate with experience, up to a combined base and bonus of $175,000.

The primary areas of focus for this position are:

  • The development of the Buildings Services Team, empowering and supporting the service professionals in the delivery of our solutions and to capture greater market share and help build the whole of the business.
  • Direct Support of our captured Customers, freeing up energy for our sales teammates to allow them to pursue and capture more new customers and accounts.
  • Direct Account Management, partnering with the Sales professionals to deliver on commitments.

The Service Manager will serve as a member of the Branch Leadership Team and will be an active participant in the development and implementation of business strategies across all aspects of the business. This is a Key Leadership position within the branch and includes continuous collaboration with SMs across the country and the support teams who help with delivery.

What will you do?

  • Strategy development with local Senior Leadership Team, Operations Team and Sales Team to capture and retain market share
  • Develop & maintain a diverse team of Service Professionals - Technicians, Field Service Supervisors, Field Service Managers and Service Project Managers to ensure delivery of the highest value to the customers
  • Solutions Development for the accounts served
  • Networking internally and externally
  • Forecasting revenue & profitability as needed for business planning
  • Budgeting operational costs for department
  • Reporting on historical revenue data & trends

  • Strong interpersonal skill including the ability to manage escalated situations with customers, teammates, team members, peers and contemporaries.
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems (emphasis on BAS, Security and Mechanical)
