Saxco International is Hiring a Production Line Lead Near Portland, OR
Position Purpose
As a Production Line Lead, you will be responsible for leading and motivating designated production line to meet the company’s goals in terms of quality, schedule, safety, yield and productivity according to procedure. You will supervise production workers on a specific production line, manage production orders from ERP, complete production reports as required by supervisor, follow standard operation procedures as determined by the supervisor, keep the workplace clean and free of debris around the production area, practice production safety measures and maintain the quality of the products on the production line.
Primary responsibilities :
- Supervise production workers on a specific production line (30%)
- Assign tasks to production workers and ensure they perform their duties according to procedures.
- Monitor the progress of the production line to ensure it is operating efficiently.
- Provide guidance and feedback to production workers to improve their performance. Address any issues or concerns raised by production workers in a timely manner.
- Manage production orders assigned by supervisor (20%)
- Ensure that all production orders are completed within the specified timeframe. Communicate any delays or issues with production orders to the supervisor.
- Complete production reports as required by supervisor (15%)
- Collect data and prepare production reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Ensure that all production reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
- Follow standard operation procedures as determined by supervisor (10%)
- Ensure that all production activities are performed according to the standard operating procedures.
- Communicate any deviations from the standard operating procedures to the supervisor. Implement changes to the standard operating procedures as directed by the supervisor.
- Keep workplace clean and free of debris around the production area (10%)
- Ensure that the production area is clean and organized at all times.
- Dispose of waste and debris in accordance with the company's waste management procedures. Ensure that production equipment is clean and maintained.
- Practice production safety measures (10%)
- Ensure that all production workers are trained on safety procedures.
- Conduct safety audits on a regular basis. Address any safety concerns or issues immediately.
- Maintain quality of the products on the production line (5%)
- Ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards. Conduct quality inspections on a regular basis.

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- 2-3 years of experience in a production environment, with lead experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and production management software.
- Understanding of production safety measures and quality control processes.
- Ability to read and interpret production reports and instructions. Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
