The Billing Specialist will be responsible for assisting with the ebilling process by preparing and submitting accurate client invoices to third-party billing applications and identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
Responsibilities :
Produce pre-bills from firm's financial system(Aderant Total Office) and process electronic invoices via various electronic vendor systems.
Submit budgets and ensure billings are within the appropriate budget constraints.
Reviews client billing guidelines adding billing rules and notes in matter management to establish client billing requirements printed with prebills for billing compliance.
Ensure accuracy and currency of timekeeper rates, accruals, budgets, matter IDs, and other client-required information in electronic vendor.
Ensure successful submission of invoices and assist with resolution of rejections.
Research Accounts Receivable and coordinate collection efforts with Legal Administrator.
Submit and maintain client information in case management system.
Other duties assigned.
Requirements:
Legal e-billing experience in a law firm .
Experience using e-billing systems LSS and Legal X.
Experience in Accounts Receivable.
Advanced computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel as well as ability to learn and use billing software and e-billing programs.
Qualifications:
Must be self-motivated, very detail oriented, highly organized and reliable, have the ability to multi-task with a high volume of work and work well independently as well as collaboratively environment.
Ability to prioritize and take initiative to assist as needed.
Strong organizational, time management and people skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to convey information verbally to supervisor and clients.
