Position Summary:

Position Title: Business Development & Capture Manager

Location: Remote in Huntsville, AL

Employment Category: Full Time/Exempt

Travel: Minimal, if any.

Deployment: No

Drug screening: No

Citizenship: Must be US Citizen

Security Clearance: Not Required

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree (Preferred: Bachelor of Arts in English or Master’s degree in English)

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated experience managing federal government contracting proposals with an emphasis on the Department of Defense.
  • Military or federal government civilian experience a Plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Highly detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
  • Possess strong and effective communication skills.
  • Able to manage projects independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Experience leading teams and/or managing project schedules.
  • Experience with regularly changing priorities - must be able to manage multiple requests and tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Shipley Proposal Management, Association for Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), or equivalent training or certification.
  • Experience managing proposals in the GovCon space, with a focus on professional services. Familiarity with technical, management, staffing, pricing, quality, and past performance write-ups is preferred.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience, education, and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

Sancorp Consulting, LLC is seeking a Capture/Proposal Manager to support company operations. The following are examples of the roles and responsibilities:

Proposal Manager:

  • Review, research, and manage proposals, white papers, rough orders of magnitude, statements of capabilities, etc.
  • Review RFPs, RFIs and Sources Sought for compliance and submission.
  • Plan and coordinate efforts associated with responding to proposals such as scheduling meetings, tracking action items, and managing timeliness.
  • Manage proposal activities, including data call tracking, contact lists, and proposal reviews and debriefs.
  • Organize cross-functional teams to develop proposal strategy, response, and pricing.
  • Coordinate pricing strategy with Pricing/Finance Advisor.
  • Edit and reorganize proposal sections to ensure organizational flow and syntax throughout and makes graphics recommendations, where necessary.
  • Review and edits resume with potential candidates to address candidate qualifications relevant to position description.
  • Edit past performance projects, tailoring them to meet solicitation requirements.
  • Take ownership of the quality of the proposal for reviews and final delivery by performing rigorous quality assurance and compliance checks on draft and final documents
  • Develop, manage and maintain proposal library and resources; able to quickly identify, source and manipulate proposal repository artifacts into a customizable opportunity-specific response.
  • Assist in management of a business development pipeline.
  • Coordinate proposal workspace creation and archival as bids and responses are completed and submitted.
  • Coordinate contract kick-off with Contract Project Manager, HR and Pricing/Finance Advisor.

Business Development:

  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify business opportunities, and industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain company database on business development activities.
  • Develop and refine business development strategies and tactics.
  • Build relationships with clients, partners, and industry professionals.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
